Easy Caramello Koala Cupcakes

Canola spray oil

1 Packet Chocolate Cake Mix

1 Can (380g) Nestle Caramel Top N Fill

1 Container Chocolate Frosting

12 Caramello Koala’s


Preheat your barbecue for indirect cooking for 10 minutes. Please refer to your handbook for further instructions

Line a muffin tin with 12 patty pans. Spray the patty pans with canola spray oil.

Prepare the cake mixture according to the packet instructions.

Fill the patty pans with the cake batter.

After the 10 minute preheat, set the barbecue to the roast setting. Please refer to your handbook for applicable barbecue settings.

Bake the cupcakes according to the packet instructions.

Once finished baking remove the cupcakes from the barbecue and leave on a cake cooling rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, use a sharp knife to cut out the centre of each cupcake.

Set the centres aside until needed. ¾ fill the holes of the cupcakes with the caramel.

Trim the cupcake centre cutouts so they are flat. Place them back in the cupcakes and press down gently to seal.

Place the frosting in a pipping bag and pipe onto the tops of the cupcakes.

Trim the feet off the Caramello Koala’s. Place a Koala in the centre of the frosting on each cupcake.
