The Weber Q range is incredibly versatile and covers all cooking requirements.

Weber Baby Q

If you require a go anywhere portable bbq, the Weber Q has been made with you in mind.

The Baby Q is known as the “Travel Q”.  It is ideal for campers and caravanners alike.  It is also the choice of apartment dwellers who only have a balcony to use as an outdoor cooking area.  There are two Baby Q’s in the range, the 1000 and 1200.  To differentiate, here are the distinct differences:

The Weber Q 1200 has an electronic infinite ignitor, a high lid for cooking larger cuts of meat and a thermometer. It will feed up to 6 people and has great accessories to go with it, including a cookbook, instruction video, pizza trays, cooking utensils, roast and rib racks and much more.  Weber also has covers and portable stands to make life really easy.

Weber Q

The Weber Q is larger than the Baby Q.  It can cater for 10 people but still with the same versatility as the Baby Q.  So, you can still take it away with you or have it mounted on a more permanent stand at home.  Portable stands are available for the Q as well.

There are 2 Q’s in this range, the 2000 and 2200.  The starting system in the Q2000 is a heavy-duty push-button piezo igniter, while the Premium Q2200 has an electronic infinite ignitor.  The Weber Q2200 has a durable cast aluminium high lid for cooking larger cuts of meat and a thermometer.

It is the most popular Q in the range and is often used as the family’s go-to appliance most of the time.  It lives outside the backdoor and is a great alternative to stovetop or oven cooking.  A definite must on those hot days when you would prefer not to heat the house up with the oven.

Weber Family Q

This is the serious Weber in the range and can even be built-in to complement your outdoor entertaining area.  This is the bbq people buy when they love the BBQing experience and like to entertain a lot.

The difference between the Q3100 and Q3200 is the starting system and the lid height. The Q3100 has a heavy-duty push-button piezo igniter, where the Weber Q3200 has an electronic infinite ignitor. The Q3200 has a high lid for cooking larger cuts of meat and a thermometer. There are so many wonderful accessories that come with the Family Q with the serious BBQer in mind.  These include stainless steel grills, split grills with hotplates, mountable light, casserole dishes, meat probes, cooking utensils and all the cleaning gear to keep your Q like new!

If you think you may be stuck for recipe ideas, don’t panic.  Weber currently have over 100 recipes that range from meats to vegetables, salads and desserts.  They also have a range of cookbooks, a great gift idea for the cook who has everything.
